Next James Bond betting suspended following Regé-Jean Page’s departure from Bridgerton

But despite all the excitement, it’s likely that auditions for the next Bond won’t happen until after No Time To Die is released. Nevertheless, this doesn’t take away from the fact that Page is now no longer tied down to a TV show, meaning he’ll be freer to commit to big movie roles in the future.

The star himself recently caught up with The Mirror, sharing he’s “flattered” by the Bond speculation.

The 31-year-old said: “Ah, the B word. I think that if you are British and you do anything of note, that other people take notice of, then people will start talking about that.

“I think that’s fairly normal and I’m flattered to be in the category of Brits that people have noticed. Nothing more – or less – than that. I think the concept of having plans in this moment in history is mildly hilarious. So I’ve given up on making them.”
