Four injured in Orléans house fire

Firefighters called a second alarm after receiving reports that someone might still be trapped inside, but searchers found found no one.

Four people were injured in a two-alarm house fire in Orléans on Thursday night.

The house in the 100 block of Aquarium Avenue was already burning fiercely when Ottawa Fire Services crews arrived a little after 8 p.m. Firefighters immediately called a second alarm after receiving reports that someone might still be trapped inside. Searchers found found no one, but four people were treated at the scene by paramedics. The fire was under control by 8:39 p.m.

Additional details on the extent of the injuries was not available Thursday night.

Aquarium Avenue is in the Avalon neighbourhood, near the intersection of Mer Bleue Road and Brian Coburn Boulevard.
