Destiny 2 Trials of Osiris will be kicking off later today as the next part of Season of the Splicer across PS4, Xbox One, PC and next-gen consoles.
Guardians will be battling in 3vs3 Crucibles with a chance of unlocking the best Flawless loot between May 14 and May 18.
And there have been reports that new Adept Weapons and pieces of armour will be available over the coming weeks.
Guardians won’t know more until things have kicked off and The Lighthouse has been unlocked again.
The complete list of Destiny 2 rewards available between now and May 18 will be discovered by Guardians after 6:30pm BST.
And Destiny 2 fans will need to check back into the game at around 6pm BST to find out the latest news, including what map has been selected by Bungie.
Saint-14 is expected to remain the full-time Trials of Osiris vendor through Season 14, residing in the Tower Hangar with his pigeons and ship.
And visiting him will be worth it for those who can smash through the Crucible and score some wins as Saint’s inventory updates with Trials Passages, Bounties, and the option to turn in Trials Tokens.
Last week saw Bungie hand out a lot of Igneous Hammers as a three-win weapon, and the Adept version of the same weapon as the Flawless reward.
Season of the Splicer will see a refreshed list of rewards, with a few other small tweaks to the event. The development team has confirmed that the Valor badge will now appear on the Trials launch screen.
And while the Trials will be the main PvP event for the weekend, another will be arriving next week to take its place.
The first Iron Banner of Season 14 is scheduled to kick off on May 18, following the usual weekly reset.
A message from Bungie explains: “Next week, the first Iron Banner of Season of the Splicer goes live. Lord Saladin will be back at the Tower with bounties and a slew of pinnacle rewards.
“Find him up on the top level and make sure you grab the quest he is offering as well.
“We re-enabled the Heavy weapon step and, based on player feedback, have made it much easier to complete. It only requires three Machine Gun kills now to finish.
“A familiar Hand Cannon and Sniper Rifle will be rejoining the fight, but two new weapons are also making their debut.
“Our goals moving forward are to continue bringing some Year-1 weapons up to speed with random rolls, but also bringing some new rewards into the fold when possible.
“This always depends a bit on what resources we have for a given Season, but we’re looking forward to a few new Iron Banner-themed tools for your arsenal.
“Looking even further out, we’re planning new armor for Iron Banner. These sets won’t appear for a few Seasons, but we have heard your desire for some new digs. Once we have more information, we’ll let you know! Until then, we hope you enjoy the new weapons.
