‘No way we’ll stop going’ Piers Morgan’s wife on possibly bumping into Harry and Meghan

Journalist and author Celia Walden, 45, has revealed that “there’s no way” herself and her former Good Morning Britain presenter husband Piers Morgan, 56, will stop visiting Los Angeles in case they run into the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. The mother-of-one shared that they have the same taste in restaurants as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, but despite the high chances of running into them, she confirmed that she won’t be put off going back to her Hollywood home.

It comes after the pair, particularly Piers, has been very outspoken about disbelieving what they said in their interview with Oprah Winfrey.

Admitting that she’s looking forward to returning to LA, the star told how the prospect of seeing Harry and Meghan will not stop her returning to the States.

She said: “I was thinking there will be a moment when we walk into a restaurant and Harry and Meghan will both be sitting there, because I keep seeing pictures of them in the restaurants we really like…

“But there’s no way we’ll stop going,” she told The Telegraph.

Celia and her newspaper editor husband share an impressive Hollywood mansion together, worth a reported £4.2 million.

The property is said to feature five bedrooms with the same number of bathrooms, a stunning outdoor pool, home gym and indoor bar area.

Piers last shared snaps from his Hollywood mansion in February last year.

Lying poolside, the outspoken media personality soaked up the sun as he read the newspaper.

He also shared a snap of himself in a suit next to his daughter Elise, captioning the picture: “One of us didn’t get the WeHo fashion memo.”

Two days ago Piers spoke out after Ofcom ruled that he had not breached their code with his comments about Meghan following her interview with Oprah in March.

Despite the watchdog receiving a record-breaking 58,000 complaints about the former newspaper editor earlier this year, they confirmed they had cleared Piers.

Upon hearing the news, he didn’t waste any time in taking to social media to celebrate his “victory”.

In view of his 7.9 million followers, Piers wrote: “I’m delighted OFCOM has endorsed my right to disbelieve the Duke & Duchess of Sussex’s incendiary claims to Oprah Winfrey, many of which have proven to be untrue.

“This is a resounding victory for free speech and a resounding defeat for Princess Pinocchios.

“Do I get my job back?” he quipped at the end.

Despite Piers’ “resounding victory”, many social media users took issue with his comments about Meghan.

One wrote: “Piers – you received a record 58,000 complaints for your actions.

“In what world is this a win for your behaviour? In most workplaces 1 or 2 complaints will lead to a dismissal. Freedom of speech wouldn’t even be a factor…” they added.

Another wrote “You seem to have misconstrued the outcome. It just says that whilst they understand it was a hideous response that you’re allowed to be vile. At no point do they agree with your nasty attitude.”

While a third remarked: “Having an entitlement to express disbelief when someone says they have been suicidal doesn’t make it the right thing to do.

“Mental Health issues can be exacerbated by unhelpful comments from others. As someone with a large audience you had a responsibility to act with more care.”

Since the start of her husband’s feud with Meghan, Celia has remained firmly at his side, offering him support.

Explaining that she’s becoming more of a royalist herself, Celia said: “The Queen’s just been so amazing recently.

“And to have this impudent girl [Meghan] behave in such a crass and vulgar way…”

Despite agreeing with her husband, Celia opened up on the frightening backlash: “Not that I expected a quiet life with Piers. But I wasn’t quite anticipating this.”

The star admitted she and their entire family received death threats from supporters of Harry and Meghan, which prompted the police to install a panic button in their London home.

She recalled: “Proper death threats, like, we’re going to come and find you,” she told the aforementioned publication.
